Season for Non-Violence

This year’s SNV (Season for Non-Violence) Commemoration Event was held Wednesday, March 22, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Hidden Valley. Each middle school site chose student honorees (2 students per grade level) and a staff member, all nominated by peers to be present at the event.

Qualities of an SNV honoree:  Exemplify tenets of SNV include kindness and compassion towards others, community services, social justice advocacy, and demonstrating engaged participation in SEL lessons in class.

Other Season for Non-Violence highlights included a Peace Poem contest, specific Social Emotional Learning presentations, and quotes shared during morning announcements from historical leaders who practiced nonviolence.
