Rincon Bulldogs

Hello Rincon families, this is Mr. White, Rincon Principal, with school announcements for the first week of the 2024-25 school year, which officially began on Tuesday, August 20th.  The Rincon Team is excited to welcome back all students!  Attendance is the foundation of learning, and our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. every day at Rincon.  Our attendance reminder for families is this simple message:  “EVERY DAY COUNTS!”  Please note there have been changes to our dismissal times at Rincon.  School will dismiss at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.  School will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. every Thursday.

As families prepare for the first day of school, we kindly ask that you make sure your student arrives on time every day with a fully charged iPad for each day’s learning opportunities.   On Monday, August 19th at 4:00 p.m., students’ Advisory class placements will be posted on the fence at the front of campus.  Grade level lists will have each student’s name listed in alphabetical order with the name of the Advisory Teacher and classroom number where the student is to report on the first day of school by 8:00 a.m.  Students’ schedules that contain all teachers and classes will be passed out during the Advisory period on students’ first day. EUSD will begin displaying students' schedules in PowerSchool Monday evening as well.

Our school gates are opened at 7:40 a.m. each day at the front of the school and at the back of school near Vista Avenue to allow students to enter Rincon’s campus.  Students exit campus in these same areas at dismissal. Traffic will likely be heavier than usual during the first days of school as everyone becomes familiar with drop off and pick up procedures.  Please drive safely, be courteous, and use caution as we return to school.  The school parking lot is NOT a safe drop off location.  Parents and guardians should use the school drive through lane, pulling all the way forward, when dropping off or picking up students.  Those who drop off or pick up along the curb on Lehner Avenue  or Vista Avenue should only do so using the curbside closest to Rincon … students SHOULD NOT cut across traffic lanes for safety reasons.  Parents and guardians may also choose to coordinate alternate drop off and pick up locations for their students near school. Thank you for always demonstrating care in keeping our students safe.

Please consider joining the Rincon PTSA to remain informed and involved in school events.  Membership is $10.  Our PTSA supports family connectedness and a positive learning environment at Rincon Middle School.  In addition to weekly phone messages, refer to text messages, the Rincon Middle School website, and our school marquee for additional messaging to families regarding important information and school events.  I look forward to your partnership with the Rincon Staff to make your students’ school experiences successful and rewarding during the 24/25 school year!
