Hello Rincon families, this is Mr. White, Rincon Principal, with school announcements for the coming week. Thanks to all Rincon families for helping to make our opening days of school last week so successful. It is my sincere hope that each Rincon student experienced the best week possible during our Week of Welcome!
Attendance is the foundation for all learning at Rincon Middle School, and we thank you for ensuring that your students arrive on time each day with a fully charged iPad before 8:00 a.m. — the time when each school day officially begins. Student safety is a top priority also at Rincon. We thank parents and guardians for their support with safe student drop offs and pickups each day. Please be sure to pull all the way forward as far as possible when using our drive through lane. This helps to alleviate bottlenecks and keeps the flow of traffic moving smoothly into our campus at drop off and pick up times.
Mark your calendar with some very important upcoming dates at Rincon. This Wednesday, August 28th, will be PICTURE DAY at Rincon. All students will be photographed during their P.E. class period in our Multipurpose Room and will receive a photo school ID. On Monday, September 9th, we will hold our BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT at Rincon. The event will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. More details regarding Back to School Night will be shared in the coming weeks.
Rincon’s enrollment is at or beyond maximum capacity currently in multiple classrooms, and we will be required to balance class sizes in the coming days. Schedule changes will need to be made for some students to achieve the required class size balancing. Our goal is to make these class placement moves, where required, as soon as possible.
It’s not too late to join the Rincon PTSA. PTSA membership is $10. A text message with a QR code for joining was sent to Rincon families on Friday. Our hope is to achieve our goal of 100 PTSA members or more this year. Please consider helping us achieve this goal! Finally, The PTSA student art contest for our school spiritwear design will end at midnight on Monday, August 26th. Encourage your student to submit their design by the deadline if interested.
