Hello Rincon families, this is Mr. White, Rincon Principal, with school announcements for the coming week. A big thank you goes out to all families who were able to attend our first Family Day Lunch at Rincon this past Friday. It was great to see so many members of our Rincon school community joining us for this fun family event. If you were unable to attend last Friday, we hope you can make one of our future Family Day Lunch events this year.
Monday, October 7th, will be Rincon’s Make-up Picture Day for students who did not have their picture taken during our first school photo opportunity back in August. Students needing to have their picture taken will do so during their PE class period in the Rincon Multipurpose Room. This will be our final opportunity for school photos which will be included in our school yearbook.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held this week per the following schedule: Wednesday, October 9th - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 10th - 8:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m. (Staff Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) Conferences resume at 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Friday, October 11th - 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Parent/Teacher conferences are a drop in format, first come first serve, during our three days of conferencing unless a specific appointment has been scheduled for you by your child’s teacher. There is NO SCHOOL for students on Thursday and Friday, October 10th and 11th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.
While on campus this week, be sure to check the LOST & FOUND container to pick up any of your student’s lost articles of clothing or other items such as water bottles, lunch sacks, or school supplies. The LOST & FOUND container will be placed near the main entry gate for you to take a look. Be sure to also visit the PTSA BOOK FAIR being held each day this week in the Rincon Library. The BOOK FAIR will be open during the same hours as Parent/Teacher Conferences for your shopping convenience.
Finally, mark your calendars and please consider joining us at Rincon’s parent meeting on Monday, October 14th, in the Multipurpose Room at 6:00 p.m. where information will be shared regarding Rincon’s Community Schools grant funding. An invitation will be sent home this week with your student as a reminder of this meeting. Feedback will be requested and appreciated from those who attend.
