Hello Rincon families, this is Mr. White, Rincon Principal, with announcements for the coming week. There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 20th due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Rincon Middle School WILL RESUME CLASSES AS NORMAL on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The EUSD Maintenance and Operations Team has worked in partnership with SDG&E to ensure the gas leak at Rincon has been repaired and that students and staff are safe to return to campus. Normal school hours will be in effect on Tuesday.
Our next ASB dance will be held on Friday, January 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Rincon MPR. Tickets go on sale this Tuesday for $5 with the price increasing to $10 two days before the dance. The next PTSA restaurant fundraiser will be held this Wednesday, January 22nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Escondido Chick-fil-A located at 1290 Auto Parkway near Target. Look for a text message to be sent this week with an attached flyer that provides further details. Please consider supporting the Rincon PTSA by participating in this fundraiser event.
Sign-ups are underway for Rincon’s next session of After School Enrichment Classes. Review the list of engaging after school enrichment classes ASAP and complete the sign-up form so that your student can be registered before classes fill up. This is a reminder that the Trimester 2 Progress Reporting period ended on Friday, January 17th. Progress Reports which show students’ present grades for Trimester 2 at this midway point will be mailed home to families on Friday, January 24th.
