Hello Rincon families, this is Mr. White, Rincon Principal, with announcements for the coming week. For those families who are not yet aware, I will be retiring from my rewarding career in public education at the end of this school year after 33 years of service as a teacher and school administrator. I thank everyone in the Rincon community for your partnership over the years to make our school a great place for Rincon students to learn and grow. I am pleased to share that Mrs. Meglich, current principal at Conway Academy, has been named as the new principal for Rincon Middle School beginning with the 2025/26 school year. We welcome Mrs. Meglich and are fortunate to have such an accomplished educator leading the Rincon Bulldogs into the future.
This week beginning on Monday, students will engage in the iReady Diagnostic assessment for Trimester 3. Students will take this end of the year EUSD assessment during their ELA and MATH classes this week. We will be on our regular bell schedule this week for iReady testing.
On Monday evening we will conduct our Incoming 6th and 7th grade student Orientation Night event for families with students who will be new to Rincon as 6th or 7th graders for the 25/26 school year. The event for new students to Rincon and their parents/guardians will be held in the MPR beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Rincon 7th grade students will be participating in another field trip opportunity in the month of May. 7th graders will attend a field trip to the USS Midway Museum, with groups of students attending field trips on May 23rd, May 28th, and May 30th. Look for more information regarding this off campus learning experience from your student’s 7th grade teachers.
Rincon YEARBOOKS continue to be on sale for $40. There is a limited supply, so be sure to place your order before they sell out!
Looking ahead, remember that there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 26th, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
