Our first ever Lego Family Night was a success. Thank you to Paulette Donnellon from the Lego Foundation for donating Lego kits to all that attended and to our PTA for providing FREE pizza and nachos at this event. One of our site goals this year it to "Cultivate authentic family and community relationships that foster connectedness and deepen engagement in the life of the school." We will continue to look for ways to engage and deepen relationships and create the type of school our community deserves.

Here is a first step, join our PTSA click here to join PTSA. Read details below about their membership drive ending soon.

Our ASB students partnered with our school counselors and led UNITY Day activities. Students came together to write visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance and inclusion These pumpkins will be strung up and displayed around school.

Mark your calendars for the next Coffee with support staff event on Friday, October 31 at 8:30 a.m. This event will spotlight the Rincon Counselors and School Social Worker. They will will share the resources and support they provided to students, families, and staff. Looking forward to seeing you at this event.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week and in the nation’s largest drug prevention awareness campaign, celebrated annually in schools across the country. It began in 1985 to honor DEA Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena and his work promoting safe, drug-free communities.
The week ahead is filled with a variety of school events beginning with our ASB Spirit Week. Each day has a specific dress up day for students to participate in which coordinates with our Red Ribbon Week theme, “Life Is A Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free”. The week provides an opportunity for schools to promote healthy decision-making, positive coping skills, and personal responsibility! Details are listed below.

Halloween is Thursday, October 31st. Students are permitted to dress in costume on this day, but we ask that students’ costumes are school appropriate, respectful, and do not include blood and gore. Students WILL NOT be permitted to wear masks during the day, and costume weapons MAY NOT be brought to school. Please leave candy at home for Trick or Treat enjoyment on Halloween night.

Thank you once again for your continued support. Together, we can make this a fantastic year for our students! Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!

With gratitude,

Principal Meglich
