Greetings Rincon Community,
We started the week by Celebrating Día de Los Muertos at RMS. On Monday morning, our wonderful community came together to honor this cherished tradition by creating a stunning Día de Los Muertos altar in the quad area! Our students, staff, and community appreciated the beauty, culture, and memories shared through this beautiful altar.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing parents, staff, and advanced art students who collaborated beautifully to design this vibrant mural. Their teamwork and creativity truly brought this celebration to life! A huge appreciation to Miss Josephson for the vision and leading this remarkable display of culture and tradition.
Attendance & No Tardy Challenge
Perfect attendance and no tardy are improving. In September, we recognized 202 students for showing up daily and arriving to all classes on time with ice cream treats. For October, that number increased to 222 students were celebrated with ice cream treats.
We’re excited to kick off our November Perfect Attendance and No Tardy Challenge! This three-week initiative encourages all students to be present and punctual each day.
Those who meet the challenge criteria will be invited to celebrate with their peers at our Ice Cream Social the last 15 - minutes of the school day in the Pavilion on Friday, November 21st.
Let’s make every day count—your commitment matters!
Website update
This year we are working on stronger communication between school and home. One project has been to update our website. If you haven't visited it, please check it out. This week our Rincon Counseling Page was updated. This is perfect timing as the trimester comes to an end. Remember our counselors are here to support students in setting goals for success.
Another section that was added to this page is Late Work Classroom Policies and it includes detailed information for all our classrooms. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our counselors and social worker for help.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Together, we can make this a fantastic year for our students! Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!
With gratitude,
Principal Meglich
