I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our families who participated in the Americans on Display event this week. It was a two-night celebration with record attendance, showcasing the spirit and commitment of our community. Your support truly made this event a memorable one!

As we approach the end of our Celebration of the Season for Nonviolence, I want to remind you that it will conclude on Wednesday, April 1st. During this time, our school community has been focused on making the world a better place by incorporating positive actions into our lives. This celebration honors the remarkable contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and I am proud of the efforts our students have made in embodying these values.

I am also excited to announce that Rincon will be hosting the annual EUSD STEM Challenge Day event Saturday, March 28. Let's extend our best wishes to the Rincon Bulldog 8th Grade STEM Challenge Day Team as they prepare for their competition. I would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Day for leading our team into this district-level competition, where they will be competing against 8th-grade teams from each EUSD middle school campus. Go Bulldogs!

This week, our 8th graders took center stage, stepping into the shoes of the change-makers they researched. Each student embodied their character, sharing authentic stories that highlighted the meaningful impact these individuals had on society. From activists to innovators, our students showcased their creativity and deep understanding of their subjects, making the learning experience truly unforgettable! Thank you to all who supported and an extra shout out to Mr. Riebel for leading the way. Together, we’re inspiring the next generation of leaders!

This week Ms. Terry, 8th grade science teacher and students engaged in a real world service project. These learners took part in the Trout Release at Lake Miramar, marking a milestone in our Trout in the Classroom project! Our students learned about the life cycle of trout and the importance of preserving our local ecosystems. Watching those little trout swim away into their new home was a moment to remember! A huge thank you to our teacher, volunteers, and everyone who supported this incredible journey from classroom to nature. Let’s continue to protect our environment and make the world a better place.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Together, we can make this a fantastic year for our students! Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!

With gratitude,

Principal Meglich
