Greetings Rincon Community,

This week at Rincon was truly special, with two remarkable events that highlighted our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and empowering student leadership.

ASB Lunch Activity: Chain of Belonging- On Wednesday, ASB (Associated Student Body) leaders took the initiative to organize their first Wednesday lunch activity. They focused on creating a "Chain of Belonging," where students wrote kind, goal-centered messages of inspiration for their peers. This activity not only encouraged creativity and teamwork but also reinforced the importance of kindness and support within our school community. The initiative demonstrated our students' commitment to uplifting one another and promoting a positive school environment.

WEB Event: Where Everybody Belongs -Our sixth-grade WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) event was nothing short of incredible! One of our enthusiastic teachers shared her excitement, stating, "The positive vibe reminded me of WOW week back at Cal Poly, SLO. You are bringing that energy to Rincon!" It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces among our 8th grade WEB leaders, showcasing their growth and leadership skills. The sixth graders were buzzing with energy as they returned to class, eagerly sharing their experiences and asking about their WEB leaders. This enthusiasm illustrates the powerful connections being formed, with our students looking up to their leaders and fostering a supportive community.

These events exemplify the heart of Rincon—where every student feels valued and is encouraged to lead. Thank you for your continued support in helping us nurture this vibrant community!

Overall, it was truly a fantastic first week at Rincon. We are excited to continue this journey together and look forward to many more memorable experiences in the coming weeks.

Together, let's embrace the exciting weeks ahead and ensure a fantastic launch to the year. Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!

With gratitude,

Principal Meglich
