The San Diego County Office of Education and Computers2Kids are hosting an event for families to purchase affordable computers on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 from 9 to 12:00 p.m. at Canyon Hills High School, 5156 Santo Rd, San Diego, CA 92124 (Drive Thru Event).
Since the beginning of the 2022-23 academic year, the partnership between SDCOE and Computers2Kids has provided refurbished computers to San Diego families. As of July 2023 they have provided approximately 2000 refurbished computers to 900 San Diego families.

The City of Escondido Presents the 31st Annual Earth Day Poster Contest; Theme: Your Escondido.
The deadline for poster submissions is Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Please submit the entries to the school office by this date. Prizes for the 9 winners will be sent directly to their respective schools. The winning posters will still be on display at the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery from April 2 through April 30, 2024.

Join the Rincon PTSA for Start Wars night! The San Diego Gulls will face the Henderson Silver Knights on February 17th at 6pm. Tickets are $20 and on sale through February 10th. Share the Warmth this Winter, Bulldogs! Rincon's TREC Winter Blanket drive is January 22 - February 2, 2024. TREC is collecting clean/gently used blankets. Families or students can drop off donations at the Rincon Middle School Office or student’s 1st period class.



Tomorrow, Thursday 1/11, is the deadline to sign up for After School Enrichment programs! Programs offered through Rincon include: Girls on the Run, Sewing, Art Studio, Theater, Zspace Virtual Reality Mission to Mars, Weight Training, Embroidery, ESports, Fishing as a Whole, Lego League, and Chess Club. Programs offered through vendors include: A Step Beyond (dance) and San Diego Legion Flag Rugby League.





The PTSA is hosting it's annual "Holiday Lights Drive-Thru" on Thursday, December 21st from 6:30-7:30pm. It is a free event to the public - come drive on through Rincon and enjoy the array of festive lights, dancing elves, and music. AVID will be on site selling fundraiser chocolate bars for $1 each. Red Ribbon Week is here! ASB is hosting a Drug Free Spirit Week and would love to see all our students and staff participate.
Monday: Wear Red - celebrate red ribbon week.
Tuesday: Pajama Day - Put Drugs to Sleep.
Wednesday: Wear Sunglasses - My future is too bright for drugs.
Thursday: Hat Day - Hats off to being drug free.
Friday: Halloween Color Day - Wear Halloween colors and say “BOO” to drugs.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are here! Conferences are walk-in and limited to 10 minutes per teacher. Chairs will be outside of each teachers room for parents to wait, should a teacher have another parent in their room. You can visit your student's teachers in any order.
The Parent-Teacher Conference Schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 4th - 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Thursday, October 5th - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (teachers lunch break from 11:30am -12:30pm on Thursday)
Friday, October 6th - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Escondido Union School District’s GATE program provides instruction and support that meet the unique and diverse educational needs of students. All 2nd graders will participate in universal screening for GATE identification in November. For students in grades 3 through 8, parents and teachers may submit a referral for GATE screening. A school team will review referral requests and determine students’ eligibility for screening.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend an upcoming Coffee with the Principal meeting this Friday, September 8th, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Room 26. The meeting is our annual Title I Parent meeting which will focus upon Title I Federal funding at Rincon, family engagement opportunities, and the ability for parents and guardians to provide feedback regarding our School-Parent Compact.
